Owning a spring airsoft pistol probably does not make you the biggest star in competitive gameplay, but in fact, there is something cool about them that we all know, but not everyone will admit.
Spring pistols have a special place in history and can be used not only for fun and cool backyard competitions, but they also come with some advantages that many other airsoft guns do not have.
Just remember that you won’t have to maintain spring pistols, nor will you have to worry about their malfunctioning and sealing at the end, let’s just mention that they do not cost a penny more than what you have paid initially.
There are obvious spring toys, but there are also solid quality spring pistols on the market that can be used for play, cosplays, or as a great souvenir on the wall, some of these little guys look quite realistic.

If you are looking for something well-built that can actually be used competitively at early stages of your airsoft journey for less than $30, then this gun is one of those that do the best job for spring pistols.
This Colt 1991 will make a decent secondary when you need that one extra BB to land at targets who try to rush you down from a predictable angle. Not all spring pistols got a decent range, but this one can travel 60 feet as it has 345 FPS with 0.20-gram BBs and decent internals for the price it comes for.
Although 0.12 gram BBs may be recommended for greater FPS, in practice, you will use the 0.20 gram BBs because they are better and will effect the accuracy, so stick to 0.20 gram BBs only.

This spring pistol won’t compete against high-tier airsoft pistols in the field, but in skillful hands, it may actually see some competitive use.
However, we are not here for competitive use, but rather for some simple fun and this pistol will surely provide that.
It has a pretty high velocity of 325 FPS (0.12 gram BB) which is quite unusual for spring pistols, so if you are about target practicing or about some backyard competition with friends, it has decent range and accuracy at 30 feet of effective range.
It may not be realistic by the appearance but will be a decent pick for effectiveness.
It holds 12 BBs in a magazine and it’s good for everything besides cosplaying. If you do not drop it repetitively on the concrete it should last you for a very long and fun time.
Airsoft spring revolver 933 4“ TSD Sports
For all cowboys out there this airsoft spring revolver will be a great starter gun that won’t disappoint you for the affordable price it comes for.
The cool thing about airsoft spring revolvers is that they are loaded with shells and you fire it just like the cowboys in old western movies.
Hold it in one hand and assist with the other, load BB after BB by chambering it by pressing the hammer, and fire all 6 rounds in a blink of an eye, of course, if your skills and fast hand allow you to do so.
Revolvers are always challenging because they require a bit more actual skill to be used, but that’s what is so attractive about them.
These spring revolvers are not expensive, but are pretty unique and feel awesome, especially if you have not used them ever before.
The only downside is reduced velocity, so you will have to use 0.12 gram BBs and shoot at 240 FPS, so if its a windy day the BBs may not be the most accurate, but on every regular day this revolver will bring lots of fun and take targets at 30 feet.
Ask your friends to join you in the backyard, get a few revolvers and organize a small tournament, but remember, it ain’t no easy to be the fastest hand in the west!

As I said, those pistols can be used in competitive matches as a secondary gun, but for anything serious, I would rather rely on something electric or gas based that can shoot on semi-auto or auto-mod.
For beginners, these guns are enough and if you are still learning about airsoft and trying to find your place, then these springers won’t break your budget and will still allow you to practice airsoft and make it somewhat competitive.
